Nenagh AFC will go in to this NT&DL Tipperary Cup decider as firm favourites to complete a Premier Division League, Ricky Fogarty Cup and Tipperary Cup treble against a Cloughjordan side which will really need to pull out all the stops if the Brickfields side are to be stopped in their tracks. Nenagh AFC have strength all over the field and team management of Martin Donnellan, Dearan O’Gorman and David Rooney will again face a selection dilemma’s in advance of this encounter with options in depth all over the field including a number of Youths players from the FAI Youths Cup side. Cloughjordan finished in a creditable 3rd position in the league but results season to date against the Blues will not auger well for Eoin Killackey’s charges as Nenagh AFC have come out on top from three games played. Both sides should have a full complement of players with no injury concerns to report, Nenagh AFC will be expecting big performances from Thomas Sheppard, Nathan Kelly while Youths players Ben Banaghan, Alan Sheehan and Ryan Gilmartin will again be to the fore. Cloughjordan have the ability to cause an upset and inflicted a heavy defeat on the Brickfields last season with a five nil drubbing in the Ricky Fogarty Cup semi-final but will need to play to their full potential including ace displays from Diarmuid Kennedy, Michael Cleary and Kevin Kennedy. The game kicks off at 6:30PM in Ballinree, Eoghan O’Shea takes charge of proceedings with assistance from Liam Kelly and Paul Horgan.
