Joe Delaney Cup Final Preview

ByGer Kennedy

May 28, 2014

BT Harps Youths and Peake Villa Youths will contest the 8th Joe Delaney Cup Final on this Sunday evening in Drombane in what is an eagerly awaited contest. Peake Villa are the TSDL Youths kingpins this season with a League & Cup double to their credit and secured a surprise but merited first round win over FAI Youths Cup winners Nenagh AFC following a penalty shootout. BT Harps have turned in a strong campaign and were somewhat unlucky to finish runners up to Nenagh AFC in Division One of the NT&DL Youths league and will be more than anxious to keep the Joe Delaney Cup in the NT&DL for the second year running. Big performances will be expected from Stevie Nolan, Emmet Moloney while Eric Quinlan and Dylan Loughnane are clocking up the goals for the Templemore side. The key players for Peake Villa will be Dale Loughnane, Billy McCarthy and Adam Garrett and the Thurles team will want to make up for the disappointment of last year’s final appearance, however BT Harps might just have the edge on this occasion, the game kicks off at 6:00PM at Clodiagh Rangers FC Grounds
